Politicians Ban Anonymous Forum Posting

Irritated by shots taken at him anonymously online, New Jersey state assemblyman Peter Biondi is seeking to use the law to shield politicians from criticism by introducing a bill banning anonymous forum postings. Aside from the very practical issues of enforceability and jurisdiction, this latest Orwellian travesty by one of our rulers shows how quickly these supposed representatives are willing to abuse their power in order to protect and expand it. This comes as politicians are grandstanding in DC about Google, Cisco and other tech companies’ assisting China’s government in silencing online dissidents. The hubris and hypocrisy of our rulers seems to be boundless.
